The candidate that has completed the 50 hours of PIC flight can start IR training. This training is given to the pilot to teach how to fly a plane safely by using the indicators and assistive navigation devices inside the plane. IR is entered into the license of the pilot candidate that completes this training successfully. This is one of the trainings required to be an airline pilot.
This training starts with a simulator flight of 35 hours. Simulator flights are also entered into the flight registry just like the flights performed with planes and the student learns basic procedures on the simulator. Then, in order to practice what is learned, a flight of 15 hours is performed with a plane. If the student completes these flights as well as passing the exams of the 14 theoretical courses held by SHGM during ATPL Theoretical stage, they move to the control of the IR stage. Again, a pilot assigned by SHGM tests the flight skill, and if approved IR is processed to the license by SHGM. If required, one can enter this control with the CPL control.
