After the investigations conducted by the experts from the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University has become the first university to receive “Safe Campus Certificate in the Context of Global Pandemic” in Konya. Also being the first university that has Hygiene and Sanitation Management System Certificate in Turkey, KTO Karatay University continues to comply with the hygiene conditions during the pandemic and takes all the necessary precautions quickly.
Last September, a collaboration protocol was signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) in order to determine general standards including measures for creating healthy and clean environments in the campuses of higher education institutions within the fight against coronavirus pandemic and contagious diseases.
Making efforts to continue to work according to this, KTO Karatay University is granted to receive the “Safe Campus Certificate” by meeting the infrastructure conditions to create healthy and clean environments in the campus, provide hygienic conditions and implement and follow infection control measures.

A statement of the KTO Karatay University Quality Management Office reads as follows: “Our university has fully complied with “the Guide for Creating Healthy and Clean Environments in Higher Education Institutions in the Context of Global Pandemic” prepared by the collaboration of YÖK and TSE; and taken the necessary steps in order to protect the health of students, employees and all the external stakeholders. With the aim of registering all the works done within this context, an application for licensing has been carried out and certification has been received. As the KTO Karatay University, our main objective is to maintain the sustainability of the service quality provided by renewing the certificate every year.”
